We make the licensing process as simple as possible for contractors to operate properly and in compliance.
We’ve been in business since 1982. That’s over 40 years of helping people like you with their licensing issues.
Our location in Sacramento allows us to hand-carry documents to the Contractor State Licensing Board Headquarters for processing.
We act as your liaison with state agencies, managing the administrative details.
Our goal is to help make the licensing process as simple as possible for contractors to operate properly and in
compliance in the states of California, Nevada and Arizona.
You must have at least 4 years of journey-level experience, within the last ten, in the trade you are applying for. You will need to have a certifier to verify your claimed experience. Other requirements include passing the required exams (law and trade), passing a background check, bonding, and worker’s compensation if you will have employees.
There are very few options for a waiver of the exam. If you have been licensed in a reciprocal State for the previous five years, you may be able to waive the trade exam. The CSLB will allow for a waiver of both exams if you’ve been listed as an officer/member/manager on a contractor’s license for over five years. Another waiver option is if you are already licensed and are looking to add a classification to your license that is closely related to the license you currently hold.
